We are saddened to announce the passing of Darryl Mims, who lived a full and vibrant life in Chicago Lawn, Illinois. Darryl was born on January 26, 1943, to proud parents Jl and Laverne Mims.

Darryl was a loving father to two children, including Latasha Mims, who is survived by her spouse Durell Robinson. Darryl was also a proud grandparent to two grandchildren.

Darryl attended Farragut Career Academy High School and went on to have a successful career as a carpenter. He was known for his work ethic, sense of humor, and infectious smile.

On February 26, 2025, Darryl passed away from a sudden heart attack. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. In his memory, let us remember the joy and laughter he brought into our lives.
