Darryl Brooks passed away on February 14, 2025, in Reidsville, North Carolina, United States. He was born on May 5, 1965, to his parents Fitzgerald Lea and Charlotte Ellis

Darryl was devoted to his partner, Courtney Sanchez, who he was engaged to at the time of his passing. Although they did not have any children, their love for each other was evident to all who knew them. Darryl leaves behind brother's and several cousin.

Darryl dedicated his career to serving his community, working at the City of Greensboro for many years. He was known for his hard work, dedication, and his willingness to always go the extra mile to help others.

Those who had the privilege of knowing Darryl will remember him for his kind heart, his infectious laughter, and his unwavering commitment to making the world a better place. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and colleagues.
