Darlene Kretzer, of West Granville, New York, passed away on November 19, 2025, at the age of 83. She was born on September 8, 1942, and lived a fulfilling life filled with love and laughter.

She married Gary Kretzer June 17, 19

Darlene attended Granville Central School High School and went on to work as a Secretary at the Granville Sentinel. She then dedicated many years to being a stay-at-home mom, raising her three children, Marc, Rebecca, and Cynthia.

Later in her career, Darlene worked as a secretary at Truthville Christian Academy and then at Public Health, where she eventually retired from.

Outside of her professional life, Darlene had a passion for reading, especially Amish books. She enjoyed attending basket parties with friends and family and looked forward to her yearly trips to Sight and Sound Theater in Lancaster, PA, and exploring all the Amish places. She loved our 4th of July picnics every year at Hullets Landing with Friends and Family.

She is now with her Husband Gary, her Daughter Becky,her parents and brothers.

She is survived by her Son Marc (Pat) her Daughter Cynthia (Emily), her Grandson Marc JR (Jill). Her sister in laws Martha,Linda and Sandy.

The family would like to thank the staff at Slate Valley Center for taking such good care of her. They would also like to thank everyone that came to visit her,called her or sent her a card. That always put a smile on her face.

Darlene will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will live on through her children, her grandchild and all her family and friends.
