Danielle Nelson was born on a June 21,1939 in Chicago Illinois to Johnny Boyd Sr. and Irma Ann Nelson at Little Company of Mary Medical Center. She was reborn with Christ on June 10, 2023.

Danielle also known as Danny was brought up in the Church of the Holy Family of Chicago, Illinois where she learned about Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. She later continued her faith at Grace Missionary Baptist Church of Markham, Illinois.

During her childhood she was very athletic and a talented dancer. She was very competitive. She was always volunteering anywhere she could shine. She was a scholar in all things. She was the youngest of six always trying to show out for her siblings. She loved spending countless hours helping her community and praising God.

To know Danielle was to love her, she had the most beautiful smile and contagious laugh. She always brighten every room entered. She was always there for you no matter the circumstances she would love and care for you.

Danielle was preceded in death by her parents, Irma Ann Nelson and Johnny Andrew Boyd. Her siblings Rosie, Riley, Eddie, Billy and Sheryl Nelson, her cousins Alma, Nina, Henix and Phillip.

She leaves behind her love for her family. Husband Rufus Boyd, children Janice Boyd, Kimberly Boyd, Gerald Boyd and Anthony Boyd. Her grandchildren Kristen Boyd, Kayla Boyd, Krishana Boyd, Chris Boyd Jasmine Nelson, Kendrick Nelson, Rayan Nelson and Emma Nelson. Also devoted cousins and other relatives
