Daniel Sanders McElhanon, 75 of Elizabethton, Tn passed away at Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, Tn on May 1, 2020. He was born on April 30, 1945 in Jacksonville FL to Herschel and Lena McElhanon (Barber). He spent 20 years in the United States Air Force, he retired in 1983. He did Four tours of Vietnam. He belonged to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Elizabethton, Tn. He enjoyed going for scenic rides and he loved viewing the mountain in East Tennessee but most of all he loved to spend every minute with Kristina (daughter) as she was also his full time caregiver. He is survived by his daughter Kristina Toles. He had 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Daniel is proceeded in death by his parents. A service will be held at James H. Quillen, VA Medical Center in Johnson City, Tn at a later date.
