Daniel S. Skinner86, of Indianapolis, passed away on April 8, 2017. He was born on August 11, 1930 in Indianapolis to the late Frank and Bessie Skinner. Daniel was a charter member of Southport Christian Church. Daniel served his country in the United States Marine Corps, fighting in the Korean War. He was a member of the Indiana Chapter of The Chosin Few. Daniel later went on to work for Indiana Bell for 42 years, retiring in 1990. He was a family man and enjoyed fishing.Daniel is survived by his wife Sandra Skinner of Indianapolis, IN; daughters Vicki (David) Ray of Indianapolis, IN, Carolyn (Mike)  Ausbrooks of Greenwood,IN; son Daniel (Janet) Skinner Jr of Greenfield, IN; grandchildren Alicia (Eric) Rothman of Raleigh,NC, Aaron Ray of Indianapolis IN, Stephanie (Chase) Wilson of Brownsburg, IN, Evan Ausbrooks of Indianapolis, IN; and two great-grandchildren. He is preceded in passing by his parents and eight siblings.Services for Daniel will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday April 12, 2017 at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center.
