USN (Ret.) MANCHESTER OSCS (SW) Daniel I. Walker, USN (Ret.), 57, died Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at his residence. He was the husband of Susan K. (Peters) Walker. They were married 34 years. Daniel was born on July 17, 1957, in York, son of Nancy L. (Straub) Walker of York and the late Irwin L. Walker. He was a 1975 graduate of William Penn Senior High School. A 22 year veteran of the U.S. Navy, he most recently worked for McClarin Plastics in Hanover. The viewing will be from 10 to 11 a.m. tomorrow at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 150 Jefferson Ave., York. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Thomas McKee officiating. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery with military honors provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. In addition to his wife and mother, Daniel is survived by a daughter, Laura E. Walker and fiance, Cody Brashear; a son, ET2 Aaron D. Walker USN, husband of Betsy; and four grandchildren, Alice, Aiden, Jennifer, and Isabelle Brashear. He is also survived by two sisters, Doreen Bowders, wife of Brian, and Dawn Wuorinen, wife of Duane; two brothers, Douglas Walker, husband of Beth, and David Walker; and several nieces and nephews.
