McDowell, Daniel Edward "Dan"Daniel E. McDowell, 65, Neenah, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2017, at his home. He was born on March 13, 1952, in Neenah, the son of Edward R. "Mickey" and Jeanette A. (Kuhr) McDowell. Dan graduated from Neenah High School, the Class of 1970. He was employed with Sun Chemical Company for many years. Dan was an avid Packers and Badgers fan. He enjoyed trips to the casino, going to his cottage in Lakewood, spending time with his family around the holidays, baking bread when his mother was no longer able to, and spoiling his nieces and nephew. Daniel is survived by his siblings: Michael (Judi) McDowell and Pat McDowell; nieces and nephew: Rebecca McDowell, Andrew (Laura) McDowell, and Megan McDowell; 3 great nephews: Hank, Finn, and Knox McDowell; and a special cousin: Sue Heling.Dan was preceded in death by his parents.A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 1, 2017, at the Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial St., Neenah, with Pastoral Leader Mary Krueger officiating. Interment will be in St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah.
