We are gathered here today to mourn the passing of Daniel Hurd III, who bid farewell to this world on October 23, 2024, at the age of 60 in Lewiston, Me. Danny resided in Sangerville, Maine. He was born on June 3, 1964, to his beloved father, Daniel Hurd Jr and mother, Barbara Hurd.

Daniel was survived by his life long partner and best friend Michele Hodges, and their five children: Teresa Hodges, Richele Hodges and partnerShawn Burgess, Danielle Hurd and partner Rob, Billie-Jo Hurd (Weaver), and Daniel Hurd aka Danny Boy. 1 sister Jo Weston and husband Jason and children Brandon and Brook.6 grandchildren Makenzie, Makayla, Tavin, Lunabelle, Lucas and miss Ava. Along with 2 great grandchildren Hartlen Nash and Nikolai William. Despite his uncanny ability to father a small village, Daniel was a loving and devoted family man.

Known for his love of farming and being surrounded by his family, friends, and a good time, Daniel lived life to the fullest. Whether he was tending to his crops or hosting a raucous gathering, Daniel always had a smile on his face and a joke on his lips.

Unfortunately, Daniel's zest for life was cut short by Sepsis, reminding us all that even the strongest among us are not immune to life's cruel grip.

As we bid farewell to Daniel Hurd III, let us remember him not for the way he left this world, but for the joy and laughter he brought into it. He may be gone, but his spirit lives on in the memories we hold dear.

Rest in peace, dear Daniel. Until we meet again, may the fields be forever green and the party never end.
