Dana Michelle Williams, 44, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. Dana was born on Dec. 24, 1971 to William Ritter and Judy Ward. Dana grew up in Friendship, N.Y. and graduated from Friendship Central School in 1990 and attended B.O.C.E.S. Allegany County Technical School and became a LPN. In 1999 Dana met Matthew, the love of her life, and they spent the last 17 years together. Dana loved her family, especially her children, NASCAR, flea markets, boating, puzzles and pretty much anything to do with life; she lived life to the fullest. Dana is survived by her husband, Matthew, of the home; children; Justin Thornton, Timothy Thornton and Alyssa Thornton; her parents; brothers, Brett Ritter and wife Jenny of New York and Brad Ritter and wife Melony of Harrisburg; sister, Billie Jo Ritter of New York; granddaughter, Karlie Thornton; and many nieces, nephews cousins and friends. Service and Visitation: Memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016 at Summersett Memorial Chapel with visitation from 9-11 a.m. at Summersett Funeral Home.
