DALE A. SHAWJuly 17, 1925 - July 22, 2016Dale August Shaw passed away peacefully at his home on July 22, 2016. He was born on July 17, 1925 in Owosso, Michigan, near Darand, to Ray and Flossie (Laplow) Shaw. Dale joined the Navy in 1943 and met his wife in Portland in 1945. Dale married Doris Brown on May 17th, 1945. Dale and Doris settled down in Emmett where they raised their four children: Julia, Nancy, Janet and Raymond. Dale worked at Boise Cascade for 33 years, retiring in 1987. Dale was an affectionate jokester who was devoted to his family and loved the Lord, Jesus Christ, with all his heart. He and Doris were happily married for 61 years. Dale was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Doris Brown Shaw; daughter, Janet Blevins; sons-in-law, Floyd Morley and Duane Davis; brother, Ervin Shaw and sister, Leona Wallace. He is survived by three children, Julia Morley, Nancy Davis and Ray (Kathy) Shaw; 13 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren and numerous others who claimed him as their Dad or Grandpa. Viewing will be held Monday, the 25th, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at the Potter Funeral Chapel in Emmett on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at the Emmett Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at www.potterchapel.com
