Dale W. "Ziggie" MartinMANSFIELD: Dale W. "Ziggie" Martin, 68, of Mansfield passed away on Monday, May 22, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was born on August 11, 1948 in Oneida, KY to Elbert and Sylvia (Baker) Martin. Dale was a 1966 graduate of Ontario High School and then went on to attend the Ohio State University. Dale retired from the United Telephone Company where he worked in the sales and marketing department. Dale loved his children and grandchildren dearly. He was a huge sports fan, especially basketball. In his younger days, he enjoyed playing racquetball. He enjoyed playing pool, riding around on his scooter and visits to the beach. He is survived by his daughters, Krista (Tim) Mattoni, and Adria (Scott) Jacobs both of Mansfield; four grandchildren; Aundrea Gosch, Haleigh Jacobs, Makayla Jacobs, and Aiden Mattoni; and his deeply devoted mother, Sylvia Martin. He was preceded in death by his father, Elbert Martin. Family will welcome friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington Springmill Rd. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Mansfield Memorial Park.
