Dale Avery, 53, of Bristol, passed away after a brief illness on Saturday January 28, 2017 at his home. Dale was born on September 21, 1963 in Bristol, the son of the late Dorothy Avery of Bristol. Mr. Avery graduated from Bristol Eastern High School in 1981. He was a devoted father, brother, and friend. He loved music, golfing, fishing, and cooking, but his biggest love in life was his daughter, Emma Avery. He is survived by his daughter, Emma Avery of Bristol; his sister Jody (Johnson) Barlow and husband Scott of Chapin, South Carolina and their children, Courtney, Avery and Chloe; cousin Ted Avery of Plymouth; and a host of loving friends. Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of his life at Asbury United Methodist Church, 90 Church Ave., in Forestville on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 11 AM with a reception to follow.
