A Life Well Lived
Cynthia Pearl Leacock, born on February 23, 1927, in Trinidad West Indies, passed away in Atlanta Georgia, on October 23, 2025. She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness.
Cynthia grew up in Trinidad where she met the love of her life, Frederick Leacock. They married and as their young family grew they decided to relocate to Brooklyn New York. There, Cynthia trained to be a Licensed Praticlal Nurse and was employed at Kings County Hospital. She eventually retired with her husband Frederick (deceased) to Palm Bay Florida. In her retirement, she dedicated her time to helping others through her involvement in the Legion of Mary, The Democratic Women's Society, her beloved church family at St. Josephs and Fletchers organ group. She was known for her generosity and willingness to lend a helping hand to those in need.
One of Cynthia's greatest joys was playing her Organ, never letting her "questionable skill" get in the way of her passion. After her many years of lessons she was always willing to grant a captive audience an impromptu performance of "Twinkle twinkle little star" or "Silent Night". Her music brought her joy and served as a source of comfort to her. and occasional amusement for others.
Cynthia brought to this earth four children, Yvonne, Brinsley (deceased), Garnett and Kirk. She was the proud Grandmother to ten grandchildren; they provided her with great grandchildren and even great great grandchildren.
Cynthia will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace.
