Curtis Elliott Porter went home to be with the Lord and join his wife and sons on August 25, 2020.  He passed due to complications after a massive stroke early Tuesday morning.

Mr. Porter retired from General Electric where he was a welder for 41 years. He later went on to teach welding classes at NWLTC in Shreveport.

He is preceded in death by his beloved late wife, Mary Brenda Porter, who passed away in 2018. His two sons, James Brandon Porter and Kenneth Dale Porter, who both passed away in 1998.

Curtis is survived by his grandchildren, Courtney Langley, Jordan Denler, Courtney Slade, Chris Becker, Jace Porter, and two great-grandchildren, Joplin and Issac.

A private service will be held at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Keithville, La. on friday, August 28, 2020 at 12:00 p.m.
