It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Curtis Towns, who was born on May 5, 1966, and peacefully passed away on July 13, 2024, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States.

Curtis was the beloved son of Fred and LaNora Towns and the loving spouse of Stacy L Towns, whom he married in the year 23. He was the devoted father of Tamika Towns-Taylor (spouse Stafford L Taylor) and JaNessa Monae Towns. Curtis was also a proud grandfather of two grandchildren.

Curtis studied at Taylor County High School and graduated in 1984. He went on to work as an Army Instructor and retired in 2020 after many years of dedicated service. Curtis served in the Army as a Gunny Sergeant in the 17th unit for 20 years, where he made a lasting impact on his fellow soldiers and those he served with.

Outside of his career, Curtis had a passion for kickball, family cookouts, bowling, hiking, fishing, and hunting. He lived life to the fullest and cherished every moment spent with his loved ones.

On July 13, 2024, Curtis lost his battle with cancer, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and courage. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
