Cresia Belle Jones was born in Henderson, Texas to Mabel Shepard and Roy Jones on June 6, 1929. After becoming an adult she moved to Houston and started her life. Cres, as they called her, was a beloved mother of the community. Her doors were always opened to the motherless. 

Cres was an advisor to the ill advised. She extended grandmas hand to wayward young women who didn't understand life. She was a counselor to young men that wanted to beat the system. Ms. Jones was a member of St. Stephen Baptist Church for over sixty years. We know she is in Heaven now direcing traffic. Ms. Cresia is reunited with her eldest daughter and grandchild. 

Ms. Jones is survived by her daughters Lawanda and Monica Buckner, her grand children Arielle Payne and Chyna West, as well as her great-grandchildren Jada West, Kevin "KJ" Vital Jr., and Arie'yon "Fatto" Payne.
