Moreno Iniguez, Consuelo Edna Consuelo Edna Moreno Iniguez, known as "Connie" or "Poni", Beloved Mother, Nana, Ita, Sister, Comadre, Nina,Tia and Friend died peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, February, 17, 2017 at the age of 87. She has joined to rest in peace, the love of her life, Juan Francisco Iniguez, whom she married on Jan.14, 1951. Connie, a native of Phoenix, Arizona was born on Jan. 8, 1930. During 1948 through 1950, she worked at Rosita's (a Mexican Food Factory) until she married. In the 50's and 60's she was a very active participant and Woman's Coach with the Catholic Cursio Center and was one of the first to participate in the Women's Cursio Retreat. During the 1960's she worked at Phoenix Memorial Hospital as a Surgical Supplies Technician, lastly during the 1970's and 80's she worked and retired from the Phoenix Elementary School District as an Elementary School Cafeteria Cook and Baker. Connie will forever be remembered, loved and adored for her loving hugs, generous spirit, fun and good humored personality and her love for life! Connie was an Artist...talented in her sketches and paintings, in her culinary creations and cake decorating. She had a passion for art, in all forms, including music, dance, theatre, ceramic pottery, crocheting, crafts of all sorts, poetry, literature and food. She loved God and her last words included her proclaiming "I love Jesus!" Connie is survived by four children: Genevieve (Eddie) Garcia, Ted, Ana and Gloria Iniguez; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; five sisters: Virginia Orozco, Gloria Figueroa, Dora Garcia, Frances Stillman, and Delores M.; a host of God-children, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, Compadres and Friends. Visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Monday, February 27 at Heritage Funeral Chapel, 6830 W. Thunderbird Rd, Peoria, with rosary service at 6pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 909 E. Washington St., Phoenix, on Tuesday, February 28 at 10am, with burial to follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery.
