Burgess, ColleenColleen V. Rogge Goad Burgess, age 88, of Green Bay, was peacefully called Home to God, on Thursday, April 6, 2017. She was born on March 31, 1929, to the late Paul and Helen (Dinwiddie) Rogge in Castana, Iowa. She was a member of First Baptist Church, the Evergreen Quilt Guild, Hearts and Friends Quilt Guild, and an active member of the YMCA and CP center where she enjoyed doing water workouts. She owned and operated a picture frame business.Colleen married James E. Goad and he died July 15, 1980. She then married Norman L. Burgess and he died February 17, 1990. In Colleen's free time, she was an avid quilter, sewer, and knitter. She enjoyed cheering on the Packers, traveling, and volunteering at the Weidner Center.She is survived by her sons, James E. Goad II (Dawn) and Gary Goad; her daughter, Patty Goad-Lofdahl (Erik); her grandchildren, Robert Goad (Erin), Nick Goad (Becky), Ian Lofdahl, Tate Lofdahl and Emily Lofdahl; her great-grandchildren, Delaney Goad (Robert), Mackenzie Goad (Robert) and Chloe Goad (Nick); her sister, Betty Jeane Wallick; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Helen Rogge; her husbands, James E. Goad and Norman L. Burgess; daughter, Patricia Ann Goad on November 7, 1966; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.Visitation will take place on Saturday, April 15, 2017, at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Ave., from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Steve Hartman officiating. Burial will be in Fort Howard Memorial Park. In lieu of floral expressions, a memorial fund has been established in Colleen's name.
