Clyde Lay, Sr.Knoxville, TNClyde H. Lay, Sr., age 80, of Knoxville, passed away unexpectedly on October 7, 2016. Mr. Lay retired from the City of Knoxville as a Firefighter. Clyde was born on May 16, 1936 in Knoxville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Ora Lay; brothers, Robert C. Lay and Jack L. Lay. He is survived by his sons, Clyde Lay, Jr, Jack R. Lay and William E. Lay, along with their families; his sister, Jan Smith; and brother-in-law, Eric Smith. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home.
