He was born on February 13, 1930 in Jack County to John Benjamin Franklin Erwin and Lessie Mildred Hall. He married the love of his life Naomi Montgomery on March 29, 1947 in Jacksboro, Texas.C.S. belonged to ATA and North Texas Gun Club. He was an avid trap shooter since 1972. He traveled all over Texas and Oklahoma enjoying his trap shooting and friends.C.S. is survived by his wife of 69 years Naomi Montgomery Erwin, son, Benny C. Erwin, daughter, Aleta Cheryn Grace, brother, Billy Ray Erwin, grandchildren, David Lee Erwin, James Stacey Grace, John Ray Erwin, great grandchildren, Kade, Gavin, Ryan, Madison and Maggie.He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Lessie Erwin, grandson, Wesley Robert Erwin, sisters, Josephine Hensley, Frankie Sprabeary, Corrina Pittsinger, brothers, Derwin L. Erwin, Johnnie H. Erwin and Jerry W. Erwin.A Graveside service will be Tuesday November 29, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Fairwiew Cemetery in Joplin, Texas.
