Clifford W. Pease, 65, of Columbus, Ohio, died on Thursday, July 28, 2011, at the Ohio State Medical Center after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born on Jan. 22, 1946, in Scranton, the son of the late H. Wesley Pease and is survived by his mother, Barbara Pease of Harford.He graduated in 1964 from Mountain View High School. After graduation, Cliff entered the U.S. Army and served his country fighting in Vietnam. He then moved to Columbus and had been employed as a senior electrician at Battelle Memorial Institute where he worked for 43 years. He was a member of American Legion Post 64 in Marietta Ohio, and prior to his illness, was an active supporter of St. Timothy Church. Cliff enjoyed traveling the country by motorcycle, camper, and van, visiting Civil War and other historical sites. He was a fan of and followed OSU Buckeyes sports. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Marlene (Marni) Pabst Pease, to whom he was married for 35 years. Cliff was a beloved father of three children: Heidi of Fairborn, Ohio, Carlton of Columbus, Ohio, and Harrison, currently serving in the U.S. Navy stationed in Japan. He is also survived by his sister, Jeannette Pease of Hawaii; sisters and brothers-in law: Karen and Jim Amrine, Edward and Carol Pabst, Tom and Lynn Pabst, and Cheryl and Mike Swaney, all of Marietta, Ohio, and Diana and Bruce Parsell of Falls Church Va. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
