We are saddened to announce the passing of Clifford Charles Ridley (Biah), who left us on August 14, 2025, just eight days shy of his 71st birthday. Born on August 22, 1954, in Petersfield, St .Thomas, Clifford was the 4th of 5 children for Albertha Mitchell and Eucley Ridley.

At a young age Cliffy as he was affectionally called relocated to Lyssons Rd in Morant Bay. He attended the Morant Bay Elementary School and after graduating he attended a trade school in Kingston to study welding. This was short lived as soon after he learned to drive, and that became his major occupation.

Clifford dedicated many years of his life to the St. Thomas Parish Library where he drove the library's bookmobile all over the parish. He also drove a delivery truck for D&G for a period of time, a water truck delivering water to hurricane ravaged areas after Gilbert and various delivery jobs. Health issues eventually forced him to give up driving and return to one of his first loves farming. He was always raising or growing something and always dreamed of having his own farm.

Clifford is survived by his son Charron Ridley (Mary) his two grandchildren Chloe and _____,his three sisters Ruby, Jacqueline and Sonia, his three brothers Milton,Hylton and Donovan. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Joslyn. Uncle Cliffy as we all called him his survived by his nieces Kerrie,Stephanie,Jenette,Latechia and Doneshia and his nephews Donald, Walter and Donovan Jr. He also leaves behind many grand nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.

Clifford's warm smile and kind heart will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will also be remembered by those who knew him well for his fiery temperament and unforgiving, unfiltered mouth.

Although he may no longer be with us, Clifford's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. Sleep in peace Uncle Cliffy. Love always.
