. SALEM - 76, passed away on Monday, December 10, 2012 at St. Catherine's Hospital. Clarence was born on November 30, 1936 in Kenosha to Clarence and Ruth (Chalker) Dabbs Sr. and he graduated from Bradford High School in 1954. Clarence was enlisted in the United States Army and served from 1955 until his honorable discharge in 1958. He married Joyce Campbell on June 7, 1959 in Pueblo, CO at St. Paul's Methodist Church and she preceded him in death on December 7, 1993. He married Catherine Addison on June 1, 1996 in Salem. Clarence worked for Chrysler for over 50 years until his retirement in February of 2005. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, the U.A.W. Local 72 and was on the board of directors for the AMCCU. Clarence was a true farmer and spent his entire life taking care of the family farm, he enjoyed reading but his greatest joy was the time he spent with his family and friends. He was also preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James Richard Dabbs in November of 2011. Clarence is survived by his wife, Catherine of Salem; three children, Charles Dabbs of Salem, Michael (Sherri) Dabbs of Wheatland and Gary (Letitia) Dabbs of Pleasant Prairie; two grandchildren, Cassidy and Ashley Dabbs; five step-children, LuAnn (Jeff) Reed, John Wetter, Laurie (Ben) Loma, Judy (Gary) Steffen and Jodi (Dave) Veller; and 13 step-grandchildren; three step-great grandchildren;his brother, William (Judy) Dabbs of Madison; his sister, Susan Dabbs of Racine; his faithful four legged companion, Sammy as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services for Clarence will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at the Hansen-Lendman Funeral Home. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
