Clair W. SnellYorkClair W. Snell, 88, died Saturday, July 23, 2016, at his residence. He was the loving husband of Geraldine L. (Stover) Snell for 67 years.Clair was born on June 14, 1928, one of eleven children of the late Arthur E. and Lydia I. (Krout) Snell.He was a pressman from 1952-1961 for S. Morgan Smith. He then was a self-employed builder for many years.He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, gardening, family cookouts, and spending time at their cabin in Adams County with family and friends.The viewings will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 2114 W. Market St.The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Benny Ortiz and the Rev. Samuel Firestone officiating. Burial will be in Suburban Memorial Gardens.In addition to his wife, Clair is also survived by five children, Sandra L. Sterner of Spring Grove, Michael W. Snell, of West York, Cynthia A. Often, of Dillsburg, Ronald E. Snell, of Dover, and Gregory L. Snell, of York; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert E. Snell of North York; and two sisters, Gloria M. Overmiller and Betty A.
