Chyrel "Sharon " Theresa Mcleod, born on July 21, 1961, in Los Angeles, California, to Mr. Elbert Mcleod and Mrs. Virgie Mae McLeod, as the first child out of their four children. Raised in Los Angeles, California she graduated from Washington High School in 1979. Chyrel is also a graduate of University of Cal State Fullerton which she received her bachelor's and master's degree.In May 2013 Chyrel wrote a book force to be a pastors wife something she passionate about!

Spiritually she embraced holiness at the age of 9 years old. She re-dedicated her life to God and became a member of Glories missionary Baptist church in 1976. When she became an adult, she found her forever church home Gethsemane Christian Love. On March 6, (1979), Chyrel gave birth to a daughter Shawnta Lauderdale her one and only child.

Chyrel was preceded in death by her parents Elbert and Virgie Mcleod, little sister Joann Mcleod, and two nephews. She is survived by her only child, Shawnta Lauderdale, and her four grandchildren, Alesya, Rayshawn, Elijah, and Zamya. Chyrel is also survived by her two sisters, Deborah Mcleod and Gail Mcleod, Uncles, Aunties, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Chyrel fought a brave battle with cancer, but God called her home on April 29,2024. Chyrel commitment to her community and family was unwavering. Chyrel's impact on those around her was profound, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace.
