CHRISTINE I. BROWN RACINE – Christine I. Brown, 54, passed away at her residence on Monday, January 4, 2015 after a long battle with cancer. A lifelong resident of Racine, Chris was born on February 2, 1960, the daughter of Charles and Judy (nee: Yunkes) Rule. She graduated from Park High School and the Rochester Institute of Technology. On August 15, 1998 she married Robert Brown. Christine was a client account manager last working for Xerox for almost 25 years before her illness forced an early retirement. She enjoyed golfing, fishing and traveling around the country with her husband as often as she was able to. Chris was loved by many and will be dearly missed. In addition to her husband, Bob, she is survived by her mother, Judy Rule of Racine; her brother, Charles (Annette) Rule of Burlington; her father- in-law, Jim Brown of Racine; her brothers-in-law, Jim Brown of Rhode Island and Charlie Brown of Racine; her nephews and niece, Steve, Gary, Brian and Emily Rule, Connor and Jacob Brown; a very special friend, Sue Vyvyan of Racine; as well as many other dear friends and extended family. Chris was preceded in death by her father, Charles Rule and mother-in-law, Nancy Brown. Family and friends are invited to meet at the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Saturday, January 10, 2015 for a time to meet with her family from 4:00 – 7:30 pm. A service celebrating and remembering her life will follow at 7:30 p.m. with Rev. Mary Janz officiating. A private interment will take place at Mound Cemetery.
