Christian Andrew ManuelAbilene, TXOur beautiful and loving son Christian Andrew Manuel, 24, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2017, in Abilene, Texas. Christian was born on March 9, 1992 in Port Arthur, Texas. He was raised along with his sister Myah in a caring and loving home. After moving to Abilene in 2001, he attended and graduated from Wylie High School in 2010. Since then, he had been a resident of Abilene. He was an intelligent, witty, and handsome man. He enjoyed time with his sister - especially most when getting a chance to aggravate her. He had a gift of working with his hands to enable him to repair seemingly anything he touched. He and his father spent many enjoyable hours "fixing" items in the garage whether they needed repaired or not. His broad and affectionate smile, compassionate heart, and unending thoughtfulness made it possible for him to forge many close relationships, none closer than what he shared with his mother. That bond can never be broken. He will forever be "Momma's boy". We loved him with all our hearts and will miss him greatly. Christian is survived by mother, Holly Goeddertz and husband Keith of Abilene; his father, Jody Manuel and wife Lenore of Abilene; one sister, Myah Manuel of Abilene; stepbrothers, Nicholas Thornqvist, Brayden Goeddertz, Caleb Goeddertz and Declan Goeddertz, all of Abilene; and a stepsister, L'Cee Bradley of San Antonio. Survivors also include his maternal grandparents, Merl and Connie Ballard of Kirbyville, Texas; paternal grandparents, George and Silvia Striegler of McCamey, Texas, Ronnie Manuel from Denham Springs, LA, and Kenneth Stewart from Alvin, TX; and numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives. Christian was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother JoAnn Manuel. Memorial services will be held at 10:00AM, Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home Chapel, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene, officiated by Pastor Randy Turner.Memorial contributions may be made to Southwest Transplant Alliance ( www.organ.org).
