MILES, Charles Thomas "Tom", 79, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2017. He was born on March 22, 1938 to the late Albert Thomas and Carrie Emma Miles. Tom was retired from G.E. after 35 years of service. He was a member of Long Run Baptist Church, The Long Run Sportsman's Club and the "Middletown McDonald's Coffee Club". He was an avid fisherman and a UK fan. He was a loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great- grandfather and friend. Tom will always be remembered for his kindness, wisdom and friendly nature.Tom was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Bush. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Judy Sullivan Miles; daughters, Robin Carroll (Scott), Wendy Whitehead (Roger); 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at the Palliative Care Unit at Baptist Health Louisville for all of their loving care.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, on Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at Ratterman Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road, East Louisville, with burial in Middletown Historic Cemetery.
