Charles Sampson Sr., 58, of El Centro passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2013. Charles was born on May 18, 1955 in Brawley, CA. He married Laverne Sampson on March 8, 1976 in El Centro, CA. He is survived by his wife, Laverne Sampson; daughter, Janey (Kevin) Samspon - Cherry; son, Charles Sampson Jr.; 2 grandchildren; siblings, Dorothy (Willie) Berryman of Keller, TX, Louise Barkum of El Centro, Louella Sampson of Hemet, CA, James (Charlotte) Sampson of Riverside, CA, Gracie Lovett of San Bernadino, CA, Sylvester (Pearl) Sampson of San Diego, CA, Ethel Sampson of El Centro, CA, Julia Sampson of Oakland, Willie (Elliott) Carr of San Bernadino; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 13, 2013 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Hems Brothers in El Centro. Service will be held Saturday, December 14 at 8 a.m. at Hems Brothers. Burial will immediately follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
