Charles Ray Leake Sr., 80, Lebanon, passed away Thursday, Dec. 1 at Signature Colonial Health and Rehab Center in Bardstown.He was born on Sept. 21, 1936 in Marion Country. Leake was a retired plant manager of Conco Company in Louisville.He was preceded in death by: his parents, Joseph Thomas and Mary Sally Mattingly Leake; and a son, William Chad Leake.Survivors include: his wife, Rosemary Bradshaw Leake of Lebanon; two sons, Charles "Chuck" Jr. (Brenda Carol) Leake of Bardstown and Samuel Zane (Peggy Sue) Leake of Bloomfield; four daughters, Verna Marlene Weidemer of Louisville, Patricia Lynn (Joe Lee) Spalding of Bardstown, Leah Marie (Troy Sanders) Gerage of Cox's Creek, and Roseann (Doug) Mercer of Louisville; four brothers, Joseph Thomas "Joe" Leake and Leroy Leake, both of Lebanon, William Howard "Wimpy" Leake of Bardstown, and David Leake of Simpsonville; three sisters, Sarah Greenwell, Aileen Leake, and Theresa Ballenger, all of Lebanon; 23 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.A Mass of Christian burial was held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at St. Augustine Catholic Church with interment in the church cemetery. Rev. Terry Bradshaw officiated.Pallbearers were Shane Leake, Matt Christy, Jerod Spalding, Cory Spalding, Ryan Gerage, Steven Leake, and Bradley Gerage.Bosley Funeral Home, Lebanon, was in charge of arrangements.
