Charles was born on January 27, 1950, to his lovely parents George, and Shannon Nelson in his hometown of Morristown, New Jersey. After Charles graduated from high school went on to study at Cornell University. In 1974 Charles met his loving wife of 29 years Ellen while out on the town one night. Charles and Ellen went on to have 2 beautiful children, Michael, and Grace. Charles lived a long, memorable life he was loved by many and admired by others. His legacy will go on for generations to come, the impact he had on many was so monumental. Services will be held at Wilmington Baptist Church on April 16^th at 1:00PM In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, an organization Charles felt strongly about.
