Charles Lindsay, was one of 9 children born of mother, Beatrice Lindsay. There were 4 brothers and 5 sisters. Chanrles was born in February 1948 in Keithville, Louisiana. He attended school there until he gratuated from Walnut Hill High School in Shreveport, Louisiana. Charles had one deceased daughter, Margaret, and two surviving children, Gail and Charles, Jr. He also had eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. 

Charles came to California in his young adult life and worked at the Post Office in Los Angeles. He then worked at Kent Landsberg Paper Company for over 26 years in Montebello, California. He met his wife, Linda Yellish, at work. They dated and were married for over 23 years. Charles was a devoted and proud Deacon at Park Windsor Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr.William Thurmond, until his retirement. Pastor Terrell Taylor became the current Pastor at Park Windsor. Charles was happy to continue serving as a Deacon, he also attended Bible Studies every Wednesday night.

In 2015, Charles began having difficulty with his health. In August 2022, while at home he departed peacefully from this life to join our Lord Jesus, being comforted and cared for by his loving wife, Linda, his son Charles Lindsay, Jr., his step children, Diane Shaw and John Yellish, Jr. Charles leaves behind a large loving family who will miss him dearly.
