Charles Johnson Sr. of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, passed away on December 16, 2025, at the age of 64. He was born on June 5, 1961, to the late John Roger Johnson and Rosa Williams-Johnson.
Charles is survived by his loving spouse of 44 years, Carol Johnson, whom he married in 1981. Together, they raised three children: Charmony, Charles Jr (spouse Brianne Simon-Johnson), and Cedric.
He was a proud graduate of Pompano Beach High School, class of 1979. After serving in the Army, Charles worked for the Broward County School Board until his retirement in 2017.
Known for his skills as a Grill Master and his unwavering loyalty to the Miami Dolphins, Charles brought joy and laughter to all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and three grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you fire up the grill, throw on some burgers, and raise a toast to a man who knew how to savor all of life's flavors. Rest in peace, Charles Sr., and may your team always come out on top.
