Charles Jason CatlettCOLUMBUS: Charles Jason Catlett, 44 of Columbus passed away early Sunday September 10, 2017 at his home in Columbus. Jason was born on April 24, 1973 in Bucyrus to Charles William Catlett and Daphene Stamper who both survive in Bucyrus. He is also survived by a sister Katherine Lea (Harry) Matheny of Bucyrus and brother Jeremy (Melissa) Catlett of Norwalk, two nephews Austin and Jacob and one niece Abby as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was proceeded in death by paternal grandparents Hobart and Mary Catlett; maternal grandparents Willard and Pauline Stamper; aunt Carol England, and cousins Michael Stamper, Caleb Michael Fetters, and Kayla Marie Fetters. Additionally, his best friend Rochele Renee. Jason graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1991 and received a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Geology in 1999 from Northern Arizona University. Since 2002, Jason has made his home in Columbus. Jason was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and could be heard rooting for his favorite team from miles away. He loved being outside in nature whether it be hiking, biking, or his favorite past time, rowing down a river. Jason was very adventurous and lived life to the fullest. His zest for life was unprecedented. He loved to travel and lived abroad for a short time. Jason was a beloved son, brother, and uncle. He was known by many different nicknames, whether it be Jason, Charlie Jason, or CJ, but his favorite name was always Uncle JJ as given to him by his niece and nephews. He enjoyed a close relationship with several lifelong friends and was loved by all those that knew him. Jason will be remembered for many things, but it is his smile, those dimples, and that infectious laugh that will be missed the most and never forgotten. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 1:00 PM in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Bishop Ted Thomas officiating, burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com.
