FROST, CHARLES "CHARLIE" of Gibraltar; passed away peacefully to be with his late wife Doris Joyce Frost on July 20, 2017. Charlie was born on November 9, 1926 (one of five children) to Wilfred and Lillian Frost. He was raised in Peoria, Illinois and at age 18 he joined the merchant marines as an Oiler and then served as Sergeant in the US Army. In 1951 he married Virginia 'Joan' Jackson and was blessed with three daughters Nancy DiGiovanni, Jackie (Fred) Vajen, and Judy (Tom) Futryk. Sadly, in August 1981 Virginia passed away. Charles later married Doris Woznick in October of 1984; happily gaining step-son Douglas (Pam) Woznick and step-daughter Diane (Dale) Laginess. He was blessed with seven grandchildren Daniel Vajen, Emily Vajen, Sarah (Ryan) Frymire, Amy (Ken Toy) Woznick, Kristy (John) Higgins, Christopher (Megan) Laginess, and Travis (Heather) Laginess. Charles is also survived by seven great grandchildren, his brother Dean Frost, and older sister Elaine Rotteveel. He is preceded in death by his parents Wilfred and Lillian Frost and his brothers David and Stanley Frost. Memorial donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans in Charlie's honor.
