Charles E. Axelson 1940 - 2016 Charles E. Axelson, 75, of Kenosha passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016, at Aurora Medical Center with his loving family by his side. Charles was born on Jan. 13, 1940, in Necedah, Wis. He graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School in 1959. Charles married Cynthia Bailey on Oct. 17, 1959, at Wesley Methodist Church in Kenosha. He maintained perfect attendance for 30 years in the final repair department with Chrysler until his retirement in 1989. He was a member of the U.A.W. Local #72 and First United Methodist Church. Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and loving friend. He was always there when someone needed him, whether it was fixing a car, picking the kids up from school or any kind of emergency anyone had. He was kind, loving and fun to be with. Charles was the glue for his family and will truly be missed. He was preceded in death by, his parents, Clarence and Eleanor Axelson, and his brother, Gary Axelson. Charles is survived by, his loving wife of 56 years, Cynthia of Kenosha; two sons, Michael and Robert (Marion) Axelson, both of Kenosha; seven grandchildren, Lauren Brothen, Matthew Axelson, Alex Giese, Greg Axelson, Marianna Axelson, Molly Giese and Bob Axelson; a great grandchild, Jackson Brothen; his brother, Kenneth (Barbara) Axelson of Houston, Texas; his sister-in-law, Barbara Axelson of Kenosha, as well as many nieces, nephews, other family and many friends. Funeral services for Charles will be held at Noon on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016, at the Hansen-Lendman Funeral Home with interment to follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
