Our family, with heavy hearts, announce that Charles William Neal, 88, passed away on August 23,2023 at home in Miami, Florida after a long battle with heart disease. He was surrounded by his family. 

   Charles was born on January 30, 1935 in Lewis Co, Kentucky to William James and Dollie McClurg Neal. He served our nation for 8 years in the United States Air Force. As a Korean War Veteran, he was a proud member of American Legions; James Saddler Post 23 in Portsmouth, Ohio and Marlin Moore Post 133 in Miami, Florida. 

   Charles was employed at Detroit Steel Mill and Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant. In 1986 he moved to Miami, Florida to work at Citibank headquarters. After retirement, he and his wife Patty became snowbirds between Ohio and Florida until the past couple of years. 

   A celebration of life to honor our Irishman will be held at a later date. A request in lieu of flowers is donations to be made to American Legions.
