Charles Edward (Eddie) Thompson passed away peacefully at the age of 74 on 11/13/2024 at Kings Daughter's Medical Center in Ashland, Ky.. He was born 2/19/1950 in London,Ohio to the late Paul Edward Thompson and Lulu Mayo. He is survived by the love of his life Azalie Thompson (Potter) whom he married 54 years ago. Eddie graduated the Coal Grove Class of 1968.

Eddie was a truck driver and manager at General Ready Mix for many years in Hanging Rock. He had driven for several other companies as well. He was a member of Community Tabernacle Church. He loved his family and his beloved dogs Bear and Chloe. Eddie enjoyed playing his guitar and singing. He was such a wonderful, amazing person that was always loving, kind hearted and he never met a stranger. Everyone always knew he was the go to guy for anything.

He was also preceded in death by his sisters Mildred (Mildie) Pauley and Vickie Benton.

Eddie is survived by his son, Charles (Chuck) Edward Thompson and his wife Sherrie of Coal Grove, his daughter, Rhonda Elswick and her husband Steve of Ironton, and their bonus daughter Krystal Baker and her husband Kevin of Ironton. His grandchildren TJ Thompson, Amanda Elswick, Steven Elswick (Ashleigh), Nikki Elswick (family), Brooke Blankenship (Joel), Serenity Phillips and his great grandchildren: Brody Adams, Brayden Elswick, Titus Elswick, Bentleigh Elswick, Lilly Rudman, Madysyn Baker and a sister Janet Neal, a brother in law Tim Pauley and so many extended family members and friends.
