Celine F. Lott, age 80, of Meshoppen, passed away early Wednesday morning, October 12, 2016 at her home.Celine was born on November 3, 1935 in Endicott, N.Y., the daughter of Benjamin and Phyllis C. Hampsey. She was a graduate of Meshoppen High School with the Class of 1956. She worked for Bendix Corporation in South Montrose, for 40 years and later in life she owned and operated Celine's Bar for 15 years. She was a member of St. Joachim's Roman Catholic Church in Meshoppen. She was also a member of the Rought Hall Post #510 American Legion Auxillary. Celine enjoyed playing pitch at the Trail Inn in Meshoppen, and also enjoyed going to area casinos such as Mohegan Sun and Tioga Downs.Celine is survived by her children Marcha "Shelly" Crisman of Black Walnut; Todd Lott of Fayetteville, N.C.; and Eileen "Leeny" Lott of Meshoppen. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; many great grandchildren; sister Phyllis (Kees) deVente of Ackworth, Ga.; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Robbie Lott (2000); sister, Patricia Hampsey (1999); brother, Donald Hampsey; brother, Gerald Hampsey; brother, Jake Hampsey; and brother, Eugene Hampsey (2016).A memorial service for Celine will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at 5 p.m. at Sheldon Funeral Homes, Main Street, Meshoppen, with Father Joseph Manarchuck of St. Joachim's Roman Catholic Church officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the time of the service.
