Cecil Virginia Boyd, 74, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017. Cecil was born on January 20, 1943 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to Ruby and Cecil Young. After graduating from high school in Muskogee, Oklahoma, she married Robert Dale Garrett. Cecil worked as a book keeper for several years and enjoyed stamp collecting, genealogy, travel, and spending time surrounded by the love of her family. She is preceded in death by her loving husband James E. Boyd, her father, Cecil Young, her beloved step-father Bill Montgomery, and her great grand-daughter Chasity. She leaves behind her mother Ruby Montgomery of Muskogee, Oklahoma, her daughter Gaye Lynn Dampf and husband Belden of Amarillo, Texas, and her daughter Kimberley Dian Dean of El Paso, TX. She also leaves behind six grandchildren; April Retzloff, Meggan Livesay, Steven Livesay, Krystle Farley, Brittney Dean, and Paige McQuillen, and eight great-grandchildren. Gathering of Remembrance will begin at 11:00 AM with a Funeral Service at 11:30 AM on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass.
