Catherine Louise DelNayMarch 3, 2017Catherine Louise DelNay was born on March 2, 1945 in , Michigan to her parents Linton Lane and Vivian Virginia Copeland. She passed away on March 3, 2017 in Alva, Florida at the age of 72.Cathy is survived by her children Deborah Jane Melita, Kimberly Sue Beals, and Thomas A. (Mindy) DelNay; grandchildren Alyssa, Garrett, Gabby, Cayden, Emmy, Guy, Robbie, and Beau; brothers Lee, Mark, and Brian; sisters Suellen and Valerie; and many extended family and friends who will miss her dearly. Cathy is preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years Thomas A. DelNay Sr. and her brother Steven.Our mother Catherine had an overwhelming sense of need for helping others, whether it was Habitat for Humanity, homeless individuals in her community or Teen Challenge. She donated her time and money to these valuable charities. She raised her children with unconditional love and a sense of value. She was and always will be our moral compass in this world. She is missed but forever remembered in our hearts.A Celebration of Cathy's life will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 from 3-6 pm at 18081 Riverchase Ct., Alva, FL 33920.
