It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cassandra Thomas, born on June 18, 1937, in Chicago, Illinois, to her parents Taylor and Nunn Brown. She peacefully left this world on July 8, 2024.

Cassandra was a loving wife to her husband, Willie Thomas, whom she married in 1970. Together, they raised three children: Jack, Toniaa, and Dontae. She was also a proud grandmother to four grandchildren.

She attended Lake View High School and graduated in 1965. Cassandra had a love for cooking and could often be found in the kitchen whipping up delicious meals for her family and friends.

Despite her passing, Cassandra leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and delicious food. She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew her.
