Cary Alan Powers, age 44, of Hale died suddenly on Thursday, April 1, 2010. Cary was born on March 12, 1966, in Tawas City. He was married to Dawn Short and was the father of T.J. Powers of Wisconsin. Cary was the son of Douglas K. Powers of Hale and Joan P. Hoopie of Houston, Texas. He was the brother of Carla Powers of Houston. Cary was preceded in death by his sister, Carol, and brother, Carl.Cary was a general subcontractor who last worked for Tenbusch Construction. He was a member of the Hale FOE and enjoyed hunting and fishing.A graveside service will take place at noon on Sunday, April 18, at the Logan Township Cemetery. A memorial luncheon will immediately follow at the Hale FOE, 5971 N. M-65 in Hale. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Powers family.
