Carrie Sargent, beloved mother, grandmother, and award-winning homemaker, passed away on September 3, 2025 in Victorville, California. Carrie was born on April 20, 1949 to her parents Brother and Pacola Sargent.

Carrie is survived by her 9 children: Tyesse Newton (spouse Jeweal Newton), Latrice Norwood (spouse Jake Norwood Sr), Jake Norwood Jr (spouse Jake Norwood Sr), Don Norwood (spouse Jake Norwood Sr), Tyron Norwood (spouse Jake Norwood Sr), Donte Norwood (spouse Jake Norwood Sr), Dwayne Norwood (spouse Jake Norwood Sr), Brandon Norwood (spouse Jake Norwood Sr), and Erica Eavens (spouse Lee Eavans).

She will also be remembered by her 10 grandchildren.

Carrie graduated from Fremont High School in 1957 and went on to pursue her education in None. She dedicated her professional life to being a homemaker and retired in 2025 after many years of service.

Carrie was known for her passion for cleaning up and washing, and she dedicated her time to helping out in the Family Inc. organization. She was even awarded Mother of the Decade for her unwavering dedication to her family.

Carrie's quick wit and infectious laughter will be dearly missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Carrie's memory.
