Carolyn Barton, 75Fairmount/Rigdon - Carolyn Barton, 75, of Fairmount/Rigdon area, passed away on April 10, 2017. She was born on August 21, 1941. She married Wayne "Pete" Barton on November 11, 1961; they shared over 54 years together before his passing.Carolyn enjoyed being outdoors, working in the yard and the garden. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-great-grandchildrenCarolyn is survived by her three children, Doug (Debbie) Barton of Fairmount and their children, Charise and James; Russell (Phyllis) Barton of Fairmount, and their children, Brandon, Austin, Blake, and Christopher; and Scotty Barton of Gaston, and his two children, Hailey and Justin; and her brother, Jack (Jane) Jamison of Fairmount/Rigdon. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and 3 sisters, Beverly, Marilyn, and Frances.   Per Carolyn's wishes, she will be cremated and a private burial of her ashes will be at a later date.
