Martinez, Carole Anne Carole Anne Martinez beloved mother and grandmother passed away on April 12, 2017. Carole was born on June 13, 1943 to Elayne and Harry Fex, and was raised in San Francisco, California where she attended Lincoln High School. Following graduation in 1961, Carole began a long career in the banking industry working at Wells Fargo, Bank of America and Harris Trust Bank. It is with her first banking teller job in San Francisco where she met her husband, Reuben, and began a love affair of 44 1/2 years before his passing in 2012. Following their marriage in October of 1967, their lives took them to Omaha, Nebraska for Reuben's FBI assignment where they remained for one year. They were then transferred to Corpus Christi, Texas where their two daughters Stefanie and Andrea were born. Carole and her family were transferred to Scottsdale, Arizona in 1980 to be closer to family. Carole was fortunate to travel around the world with her husband and close friends after raising their two children and was thrilled to have the opportunity to live close to her three grandchildren. Carole was active at St Patrick's Catholic Church and enjoyed her new community at Scottsdale Country Club. She was passionate about her children and grandchildren, her gardening and nature, and will be missed by many. Carole is preceded in death by her husband Reuben and her brother James Fex. She is survived by her daughter Stefanie Larriva, wife of Michael Larriva and daughter Andrea Humiston, fiancee of Tom Hemenway and three grandchildren, Kennon and Sydney Larriva and Matthew Humiston. Visitation all be held from 5-7pm with rosary at 7pm on Monday April 24, 2017 at Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary Chapel, 6500 East Bell Road, Scottsdale. A funeral mass will be held at 10am, Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at St Patrick's Catholic Church, 10815 N 84th Street, Scottsdale followed by a reception.
