Carol Jackson Brooks, age 80, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on January 11, 2026. She was born on August 29, 1945, in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Carol attended Woodward High School and later went on to work as a seamstress until her retirement in 2024.

Carol had a deep love for family gatherings, good conversation, and even better food. She found joy in cooking and sharing Southern favorites such as chicken and dumplings, greens, pig feet, oxtails, and other comfort foods that brought people together around the table. Time spent with friends and family was her greatest treasure. She also loved to travel, especially to Florida. Ft. Lauderdale and Miami held special places in her heart, with South Beach being her favorite destination. One of her most cherished trips was to Key West, where she created memories she often spoke of with a smile.

Carol is survived by her children, Ronald A. Brooks with spouse Traci S. Brooks, and Tracy L. Brooks Pankey with spouse Leon Pankey, as well as six grandchildren.
