Carol Lee Smith TillerKnoxville, TNCarol Lee Smith Tiller, age 70, of Knoxville, passed away on Friday May 19, 2017. She was a longtime member of City View Baptist Church and Lincoln Park Baptist Church; and a current member of Church Street United Methodist Church. She was born on August 26, 1946, in Knoxville, TN to Howard and Mamie Smith. She was a graduate of Fulton High School, and went on to be a long time employee of Knox County Schools. Loved by all she met; she was a nurturer to the old and young. She embraced life in this role, giving more than she received, loving unconditionally, and encouraging everyone to pursue their dreams. We will miss her presence tremendously, but know she is at peace with her Heavenly Father and will watch over us until we see her again. She is survived by husband of fifty-one years, Daniel W. Tiller; daughter, Danya Lee Tiller (William G. Elliott) of Phoenix, AZ; son, Daren Daniel Tiller (Tonya Hale Tiller) of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Aaron Daniel Tiller and Dalton Ryan Tiller. The family will receive friends from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm Tuesday May 30, 2017, at ROSE MORTUARY BROADWAY CHAPEL. The family and friends will gather at 9:45 am Wednesday May 31, 2017, at Greenwood Cemetery for a 10:00 am interment service with Rev. Dean Wright officiating.
