Carol BerndtIndialanticCarol Ludgate Berndt, a resident of Indian Harbour Beach since 1963, passed away on April 2, 2017. She was born on March 22, 1929 to Franklin D. Read and Mildred Ludgate Read in Pawtucket, RI. Carol was a faithful member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Indialantic. She volunteered for years as a Gray Lady in the elementary school. Carol was an avid traveler throughout the United States; to Canada, and Europe, through the Panama Canal and around Cape Horn. She enjoyed family reunions and visiting with her extended family.Carol is survived by her loving husband, William, her three children; Stephen, Deborah, and Jeffery, and her three grandchildren; William Read, Robert and Bonnie.Carol was preceded in death by her two beloved sisters; Janice Hutchinson and Barbara Smith, and her brother, Franklin Read.A memorial service will be held at Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Indialantic, FL on Wed.
